EFICIÊNCIA ECONÔMICA NA PRESTAÇÃO DO SERVIÇO DE COLETA SELETIVA MUNICIPAL DA REGIÃO METROPOLITANA DO VALE DO PARAÍBA E LITORAL NORTE

Abstract

The objective of this article is analyzed with economic efficiency in the provision of municipal selective collection service in the Metropolitan Region of Vale do Paraíba and Litoral Norte in the period from 2010 to 2020, through the Cobb-Douglas function. For that, the research used the analytical and descriptive approach. The public data collection procedure was carried out by document analysis based on secondary and domain data at the national, state and municipal levels in various institutions and agencies. As a research site, the study was carried out in the thirty-nine municipalities of the Vale do Paraíba Litoral Norte Metropolitan Region. The analysis procedure used econometric techniques linked to the Cobb-Douglas function. It is concluded that the amount collected from selective collection, a total amount of selective collection services and a total coverage rate of the selective collection municipality in relation to the total population of the municipality were able to predict the economic efficiency in the provision of collection service municipal selective in the Vale do Paraíba and North Coast Metropolitan Region. Or, for thirty-nine municipalities, whether the best studies are in the region and their indicators do not refer to the selective collection service, it is important to pay attention to these variables.
