Keywords:
Special education; socio-environmental values; didactic resources.Abstract
This article presents an integration of knowledge from the areas of Environmental Education with Inclusive Education, through the making of inclusive didactic materials with the use of recycled materials - for the teaching of Braille in the initial grades. As a methodology, it uses a bibliographic review of the content of study materials on the theme, based on the analytical conception of trends in Critical Environmental Education proposed by Layrargues (2011). To exemplify how this work proposal can be applied in the processes of literacy and curricular adequacy of students with visual impairments; we allusively present some didactic models made with “recycled” and present its functionality as Assisive Technology in inclusive education. To finalize the ideas, we analyze how the use of these materials is economically viable in educational environments and how their action can expand the learning of varied disciplinary contents. We also propose a reflection on the importance of valuing our environment with purposeful action on the need to reuse “materials” that would be discarded in the educational environment. Something that is already usual, but in another way, expanding the possibility of access to inclusive resources for people with visual impairments.
